To kick off a website project I will conduct research into your industry and business to help understand the goals and design direction. Including researching into your target audience and looking into sites done well and sites not done so well.

Before moving straight into the design, I will create wireframes to outline the basic structure and layout of the site . This step is important for planning the user experience, how users will interact with the site and where the features will be placed.

The next step will be to bring the designs to life using Webflow. This platform allows for robust, responsive websites that are easy to manage and update. We will ensure the website is SEO-friendly, mobile-responsive, and aligns with the latest web standards.

Handover

When everything is complete and you are happy with everything I will handover the website to you. I offer a 2 hour support period after the site is live and on hand after for additional help.

After gathering initial details from you in under 2 weeks you can expect your new website up and running. How do you work out the cost of design?

I work out the cost of your design needs by understanding your goals and how long I think it’s going to take, from that we can look at hourly rate, day rate or if you’ll need monthly work we could look at using a retainer.

How long does it take to turn round a design project?

The time it takes to turn around design work varies, a typical website build can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months, I do take into consideration your deadlines and have ‘Website sprint service’ for quicker builds.

For a brand package it typically takes 3 to 6 weeks but again factors that predict this are number of deliverables, communication & revisions.

It’s usually helpful to have a brief in place before hand so I can work out an estimated time.

What happens if you don’t have availability

Generally, I book projects at least a month in advance, giving us ample time to plan and define the main goals. This also allows you to gather any necessary marketing materials.

Are there any other services you provide other than design for the web?

Yes! I take on a variety of disciplines, including graphic design, product design animation and branding. Take a look at my ‘Other Services’ section for more details.

Do you work with other freelancers?

For larger projects, I collaborate with other freelancers. This helps speed up delivery and allows me to cover tasks beyond my scope, like copywriting and backend development.
